Once a post is drafted, the content calendar is where it gets a date. The calendar shows your plans and your already-published content on the same grid, in month and week views, so you always know what's going out and when.
Drag-and-drop scheduling
Scheduling is direct: drag a post onto a slot and it's scheduled; drag it back off and it's unscheduled. You can also hover an empty day and click to start a fresh post already dated for that day. Duplicate, delete, or right-click any post for quick actions. There's no separate scheduling dialog to manage — the calendar is the schedule.
Time zones and default times
All calendar times are shown in your local timezone — what you see is when it posts, no mental conversion required. When you drop a post onto a day without picking an exact time, it lands at the default time of 9:00; adjust it from there if you want a different slot.
The best-time heatmap is advice, not automation
The calendar includes a best-time heatmap: a grid of 7 days × 24 hours shaded by when posting has tended to land well. It's a guide for your own decision, nothing more. Soontra has no auto-queue and no auto-best-time feature — it never moves a post or picks a slot for you. You read the heatmap, you choose the slot. The heatmap draws on your connected channels' data; see the analytics overview for where those numbers come from.
Missed slots: the 24-hour grace period
If a scheduled post can't go out at its slot — an expired connection, a platform error, anything — Soontra doesn't silently drop it. It retries for 24 hours. If delivery still hasn't succeeded by then, the post returns to unscheduled so you can fix the problem and pick a new slot.
YouTube's optional native scheduling
For YouTube, you can optionally hand the timing to YouTube itself. With native scheduling, Soontra uploads the video ahead of time as private, and YouTube flips it public at the scheduled moment. The upside: the go-live moment is handled entirely by YouTube's own infrastructure, with the file already uploaded and processed. For every other platform, Soontra delivers the post at its slot.
