Spreadsheets are first-class citizens in your Drive. Content calendars, sponsorship trackers, budget sheets — they live right next to the footage and scripts they relate to, instead of in a separate app.
Like documents, spreadsheets are collaborative and searchable, so your team's numbers stay as findable as everything else in your workspace.
Create or import CSV and XLSX
You can start a spreadsheet two ways:
- Create one from scratch in your Drive, the same way you create a document.
- Import an existing file — both CSV and XLSX formats are supported, so sheets from other tools come in with their data intact.
Spreadsheet files can be up to 50 MB; the general upload rules in Upload files apply.
Multi-tab sheets
A single spreadsheet can hold multiple tabs, so related data stays in one file instead of sprawling across several. Keep your posting schedule, ideas backlog, and results in separate tabs of one sheet — one item in your Drive, one thing to attach to a project.
Collaborate live
Spreadsheets support live collaboration, just like documents. Open the same sheet as a teammate and you can both work in it at once, with everyone seeing the same data update in real time. There's no locking, no "someone else has this file open," and no emailing copies back and forth. For how live editing works across Soontra's editors, see Collaborative documents.
Spreadsheets and search
Indexed spreadsheets are searchable by their content, not just their file names. That means the sheet where you logged a sponsor's name or a video idea will surface when you search for it — even if the file is called something unhelpful like tracker-v3-final.
Indexing is opt-in per upload, the same as for every other file type. Once a sheet is indexed, it shows up alongside videos, documents, and links in your results; see Search your content for how to get the most out of it.
