A search across everything is a great default, but sometimes you already know roughly where the answer lives. Scopes and filters let you point search at exactly that slice — a type of content, a space, or one folder — so the results list stays short and every hit is worth clicking.
Filter by content type
Choose what kind of matches you want back:
- All — everything at once, the default.
- AI-understood — only content Soontra has indexed: transcripts, scenes, on-screen text, and the moments inside your media.
- Documents — documents and descriptions only, when you know the answer is written down.
- Folder names — just folder names, for quickly locating a folder rather than what's inside one.
Filter by space
Your Drive is organized into spaces — Team, Personal, and Shared. Scope a search to one space when you know where the file lives: your own working files in Personal, the workspace library in Team, or things other people have shared with you in Shared. Skipping the spaces you don't need keeps unrelated matches out of the list.
Search inside one folder
Open a folder and search from there to cover just that folder and everything nested inside it. This is scoping at its most surgical: the rest of your workspace doesn't exist for that query.
Combine filters
Scopes and filters stack. Search only AI-understood content, inside your Personal space, within a single shoot folder — and a query like "the take where the audio clipped" has nowhere to hide. The narrower the scope, the shorter the list and the faster you're back to work.
