Soontra has one comment system, and it follows the work everywhere. The same threads, reactions, and mentions work on a video in review, a project on your board, and a post you are drafting — so the conversation always sits next to the thing it is about, not in a separate chat app.
Where comments live
Comments are unified across the workspace:
- Files — feedback on videos, images, documents, and PDFs in the media editor.
- Projects — discussion on the card itself, part of the project's running history feed.
- Posts — notes on drafts before they go out.
Wherever you comment, the behavior is the same, so there is nothing new to learn per surface.
Threads, reactions, resolving
Every comment can carry a threaded reply chain, keeping each discussion self-contained. Reviewers can also react with a quick emoji — a thumbs up, a heart, a party popper, a smile, eyes, or raised hands — for the feedback that does not need a sentence.
When a note has been handled, mark it resolved. Resolved comments stay out of the way while the record of what was decided is preserved.
@mention teammates — and what that shares
Type @ in any comment to mention a teammate and loop them in; a single comment supports up to 50 mentions. Mentioned people are notified immediately and can click straight into the thread.
Mentions are also a sharing action: @mentioning someone on a file can grant them access to that file. This is deliberate — if you are asking someone for feedback, they need to see the thing — but it means a mention is not just a ping.

Comment notifications
You are notified the moment you are mentioned or when a new comment lands on something you care about — including replies from Astrono — and clicking the notification takes you straight to the thread, marked as read on the way. You are never pinged about your own comments. Tune which alerts you get, in-app and by email, in notification settings.
